A fine mid-18th century walnut armchair, circa 1760, featuring a beautifully carved and pierced interlaced splat below a shaped and scrolled cresting rail with central cartouche detail. The elegantly outscrolled arms are supported on a square frame with chamfered stretchers for strength and stability. The drop-in seat, currently upholstered in a soft salmon-pink fabric, can easily be recovered to suit any interior.
This chair displays the refined lines and craftsmanship of the Georgian period, making it a versatile addition to both period and modern settings. Excellent as a feature desk chair, side chair, or hall seat.
