Victorian Silver Christening Mug Tankard London 1888

Description

A Victorian silver christening mug or tankard with clear hallmarks for London 1888, and makers mark for top class maker Hukin & Heath. The tankard has a straight sided cylindrical shape with a D shaped handle. The tankard is engraved with an Arts & Crafts design of inverted trefoil panels inset with foliage sprays, with upper and lower engraved geometric bands. The interior is richly gilt lined, a mark of quality. This tankard is a piece of classic Arts & Crafts design, in excellent condition. Weight 3.5oz/110gr
