George III Solid Yew-wood Elbow Chair Circa 1770

Description

Fine George III arm chair must unusually made in solid yew-wood. Shaped top rail with finely pierced splat back and raised on square chamfered legs united with plain stretchers. Drop in seat recently re-upholstered. All in superb un-touched original condition with hardly a blemish. All good and solid. Lovely honey colour with glowing waxed patina. Rare to find Georgian sophisticated furniture in solid yew-wood. FRESH ON MARKET STRAIGHT FROM SCOTTISH MANSION HOUSE,
