A superb quality small art nouveau silver vase with a stunning embossed scene of three birds set amongst a continuous frieze of over-sized flowering vines of bellflowers, morning glory and other large, exotic blooms. Ornamented with scrolls and arabesques and the profiles of two green man masks are also hidden within the pattern. Very finely chased details to the birds'' plumage, flower textures and a finely stippled background. The top third is plain, rising into generous scalloped fluting and a shaped rim, and the base is finished with a crimped edge. Hallmarked for London 1892, maker William Comyns & Sons.
It measures 9cm (3 1/2'') high and 9.2cm (3 5/8'') wide. It weighs 116g / 3.7ozt.
In excellent condition with no damage or repair and very minor handling wear.
