Antique Oak Letter Box

1900 - 1920
Description

A lovely oak letter box dating from the early 20th century. It was likely originally made for a church or school and has a gothic style carved window. It has a letter slot on the top and an applied metal label with matching escutcheon. It is well made with a hinged lid and it comes with a working key.

It is in good original condition and has a lovely patina. There are some general signs of age and use, some minor marks and a small chip on the front corner (see photo) but no major damages and it displays well. It has been cleaned and lightly polished and is ready for use.
