Mahogany Side Cabinet C.1860

Description

Useful mid 19th.c. mahogany chiffonier or side cabinet c.1860. Solid mahogany top with a moulded edge and featuring an attractively shaped and moulded gallery to the back edge with an acanthus carved roundel at the centre. Over a slim drawer with fitted interior of small baize line compartments and a two door cupboard with two adjustable shelves (internal depth 11½"). Matched mahogany veneers to the doors (on solid mahogany groundwork) with raised mouldings and flanked with fluted corner pilasters. Solid mahogany sides. Raised on a slim moulded plinth. Original label at the rear for the retailers Waugh & Son of Goodge Street London. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
