Rare and Fabulous Solid Silver Owl Cruet Set by Tiffany, London 1968

1940 - 1960
Description

This exceptional large cast silver "owl" pepper and salt set was made by the renowned Tiffany &Co for their Bond Street branch and is dated London 1968. Each cast body with naturalistic plumage and inset with characterful glass eyes. Both salt and pepper with a hallmarked secure pull-off cover. It is the large example, it has an excellent silver gauge and the quality is wonderful. A superb and rare owl cruet set by the celebrated Tiffany.

Fully hallmarked on each tail.

Inner covers partially hallmarked with Lion Passant, Date letter and size letter.

Hallmarks:

T&C for Tiffany & Co.

Lion Passant

London Assay Mark

Date letter "n" for 1968.

Stamped "Sterling England on base"

Excellent.
