Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
In good condition with wonderful patina and colour to the wood it would work equally well as a bedside cabinet as it would in a hall or as a side table.

Founded in 1899 Gill & Reigate were antique dealers, furniture retailers and makers. By 1901 they were trading at 85 Oxford Street London and were described as ‘Dealers in Antique & Modern Furniture, Artistic Decorators and Upholsterers’. The firm were decorators to King George V as well as designing and furnishing the Royal Apartments at the Wembley Stadium for the Empire Exhibition in 1924-25.
