Empire Style Column Bust Stand C.1900

1900 - 1920
Description

Impressive French Empire style column plinth or bust stand c.1900. 12" square black marble top flecked with tiny white fossils embedded within the stone. Raised on a column (slightly tapered top and bottom) veneered in beautifully figured birds eye maple. With large white metal mounts top and bottom and six flower head roundels around the top. On a square ebony and birds eye maple veneered and inlaid plinth (the design repeated from the top of the stand) raised on large white metal acanthus and claw feet. Very good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
