Small Georgian Cherry Coffer Box Circa 1780

18th century
Description

Attractive George III country made solid cherrywood coffer box all dovetailed together. Applied moulded edge to top. Plinth base with small ball feet. Candlebox within. Original iron hinges and lock. Old replacement escutcheon. Great deep honey colour with reddish tinge and wonderful waxed patina. It glows. FRESH ON MARKET STRAIGHT FROM SCOTTISH MANSION HOUSE.

Size; 14.5" high, 23" wide, 14" deep.
