Lincoln Restorations has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
An attractive Hepplewhite style chair.
The elegant oval back, a quintessential feature of the Hepplewhite aesthetic, has a beautifully detailed pierced splat. The inlaid center section highlights the period's fine decorative techniques and neoclassical elegance. The chair stands on signature straight, tapered legs, a hallmark of the Hepplewhite lineage. It also reflects the lighter, more refined tastes that emerged during the Edwardian period. The removable seat pad has been expertly re-upholstered in a deep red chenille. This offers a luxurious tactile experience and a striking splash of color that complements the warm tones of the wood. This chair is both historically significant and suited for modern living. This chair is in outstanding condition featuring its original idyllic beautiful lightly faded glazed french polished finish with a lovely rich Mahogany colour. We have carefully cleaned and waxed this chair, maintaining its original patina whilst giving a lovely natural sheen.

If the material is not to your tastes we could quote for re-upholstering in a material of your choice.
Condition and Provenance As an antique, this chair does show signs of age and use. While in fantastic condition, expect minor marks consistent with historical pieces. The chair is of a great quality and is structurally sound, with no major damage that would detract from its beauty or functionality.
