Pair of Antique Balloon Back Solid Walnut Dining Chairs .

A rare pair of victorian French style Walnut chairs.

We bring to you this beautiful pair of original classic Victorian C1880 Balloon back Walnut dining chairs in great original condition. The chairs feature the characteristic rounded, balloon shaped backrest, adorned with carved details to the central pierced splat with foliate and scroll motifs visible. The chairs have a serpentine front rail and plush fully upholstered comfortable seats. They stand on elegantly shaped carved cabriole legs adding to their graceful silhouette. These chairs have a beautiful dark glossy polish which is in great condition throughout with a charm and patina. These chairs are of a high quality, are made from all solid Walnut with no loose joints or breaks and are free from woodworm.

The seats are upholstered with a striped chenille fabric in shades of green, cream, and purple finished with a matching green braid, adding a vibrant yet complementary touch to the dark Walnut frame. This material covering is used so is not absolutely perfect, however, is in good clean condition from a smoke and pet free home. The inner traditional padding is in good order and they are comfortable seating. Please note: We can reupholster these chairs in a material of your choice if this material is not to your taste (for obvious added costs) if you enquire.
