Fine quality early C19th George IV period mahogany pedestal chest of 8 drawers.

Fitted with 8 graduated depth oak-lined drawers with mahogany bottoms , all fitted with their original turned mahogany knob-pulls, brass patent locks and brass circular escutcheon plates . Raised on a plinth base, the canted corner top , plinth and side uprights with a gently curved profile. Having a figured flame-veneered top , the verso with a panelled back . Seven working locks , supplied with original steel key .

Of practical scale and proportions offering stylish and capacious storage .

In excellent original condition with a rich colour and patina. Has been sympathetically cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
