The Chelsea Bijouterie Ltd has dated this Edwardian Pearl Diamond Ring to the Edwardian era.
This elegant Edwardian trilogy ring is a fine example of early 20th-century craftsmanship, set in rich 18 carat yellow gold and adorned with a radiant old mine cut diamond flanked by two luminous natural pearls.
At the heart of the design lies a particularly beautiful old cut diamond, approximately 0.50 carat, with a warm H colour and excellent VS1 clarity.
On either side are creamy white natural pearls with exceptional lustre, each measuring 3.8mm, perfectly complementing the central diamond. The trio of gems sits within a navette-shaped head above an intricately pierced fretwork gallery – a graceful touch characteristic of the Edwardian era.
The shoulders are elegantly fluted, flowing seamlessly into the solid 18ct yellow gold shank, which is stamped 18K. The ring is beautifully balanced, weighing an impressive 5 grams, and has a striking profile: 7mm wide at the front and standing 5mm proud of the finger.
Dating from around 1910, this piece would make a particularly romantic and distinctive engagement ring. It is in excellent condition and is presented in the box illustrated.
