In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the 1850s.
It is in good original condition with a lovely patina.
The turnings on one rear leg are different to the rest so it has likely been replaced at some point but it doesn't stand out and the chair is strong and sturdy. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.

The chair stands approximately 35 1/2" (90cm) high, the seat is 15" (38cm) deep and 17" (43cm) high and arm to arm the chair is 22 1/2" (57cm) wide.
