Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Victorian turquoise jewellery from the late nineteenth century frequently featured bright blue cabochon-cut gemstones set in high-carat yellow gold. These designs often incorporated small diamond accents to enhance contrast and light refraction.

Late Victorian gemstone rings were predominantly crafted using 15ct or 18ct yellow gold, securing hand-cut cabochon stones alongside old European or old mine cut diamonds. Gold alloys were specifically combined to produce a warm, rich tone.

Authentic pieces from around 1890 feature hand-carved galleries, claw or gypsy settings, and British fineness hallmarks such as 15ct gold stamps, which were discontinued in 1932. Accompanying diamonds typically show uneven, hand-cut facets characteristic of the era.

Victorian dress rings are frequently styled as standalone statement pieces on the index or middle finger, or stacked alongside plain gold bands for a layered aesthetic. The bright blue hue pairs well with modern neutral tailoring and casual denim.

Turquoise is a porous gemstone that must be kept away from water, soaps, perfumes, and direct heat to prevent discolouration. Clean the metal and diamonds using a dry microfibre cloth, avoiding ultrasonic cleaners and chemical dips entirely.
