Gillers Antiques Ltd has dated this Limoges Porcelain Coffee Set to the 19th Century.
Each piece features a vertically ribbed body, heavy gilt acanthus leaf borders, and finely sculpted handles, lids, and bases. Both the green underglaze Ahrenfeldt oak-leaf factory mark (c.1895) and the red oval decorator’s stamp of J. Asalvary, Limoges, are present. This is a rare collector’s set, seldom found complete and in such exceptional condition. The combination of rich gilding, precise casting, and the presence of both factory and decorator marks distinguishes this service as a work of high Limoges artistry from the Belle Époque era.
