An exceptional and unusually complete Southern Song Dynasty (c.12th century) stoneware ewer, China, with its original undamaged lid — a truly rare survivor.

Features dramatic horse-head handles, S-shaped spout, dragon relief to body, all original.

Height: 22 cm; Diameter: 19.7 cm; Weight: 1822 g.

Excellent condition for its age — only a single kiln crack at neck (manufacturing flaw), no restoration, minimal natural wear, lid perfectly preserved.

Such complete lidded Song ewers almost never appear outside major museum collections or specialist publications.
