We are delighted to offer this classically elegant Georgian solid silver teapot with marks for Daniel Pontifex, London 1798.

The teapot features a timeless and very British Georgian design with a lovely plain body with areas of tasteful decoration such as the gadrooned bottom half and the finely accented top border.

What is particularly beautiful on this teapot is its finial, which is of an almost coronet-like form, made of flaring foliate motifs and perfectly accentuating its overall design with a regal and unique point of interest.

The pot is made from a good gauge of silver with a good feel upon holding and has been finely crafted in an elliptic form with symmetrical and elegant curves. The right-hand side presents a hand-engraved period crest which is a nice touch to complete its overall aesthetics.

Whether it be for display, collections or as a sole piece of interest to elevate the ambience of an interior, this piece serves as a versatile and stylish piece to add. Owing to its leak-free state it can still be practically used for an opulent tea experience.

The base is fully hallmarked with English marks.
