A sweet pearlware tea bowl and saucer, very finely potted, and painted with a design of stylised flowers in pink, puce, green and maroon enamel. The centre of the bowl has a further small flower and the rims are finished in a maroon enamel. c.1800.
The bowl measures 7.2cm (2 13/16'') wide and 4.7cm (1 13/16'') high and the saucer is 11.8cm (4 5/8'') wide.
In excellent condition: the tea bowl has a tiny 1mm nick to the foot rim. No other damage or repair. There are a few tiny craze lines around the rim of the bowl. Very minor handling wear, just a few tiny flakes to the enamel on the rims.
