...y Victorian period. This Victorian pair of mahogany nightstands are constructed of solid mahogany, with round-edged moulded tops. The frames comprise an elegant mahogany drawer, retaining the original small Regency influenced turned knobs. The mahogany drawer linings are constructed with fine hand-dovetailed joints. The lower frame is finished with a matching round moulded frieze. The Victorian small mahogany bedside tables are raised on four later elegant ring-turned Regency styled “bamboo” shaped legs. Ideal for use as a pair period bedside cabinets or pair of lamp tables in any small room. The frames and legs are constructed from solid mahogany. At this time, England was importing the best quality mahogany from the British colonies.

A fine quality antique English Victorian pair of small mahogany bedside tables, with later adapted legs and a single drawer, circa 1840, in excellent condition. The nightstands have been adapted from an early Victorian dressing table. The Victorian bedside cabinets have been cleaned and French polished by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop. Therefore, the colour and patination of mahogany is of an excellent standard. Nominal old use marks to the tops, leading edges and inside the drawers, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The frames are constructed of top-quality solid mahogany; which gives a superb colour and patination. The Victorian tables are solid in joint and ready to use. This pair of small mahogany bedside tables are solid in joint; they do not wobble and are ready to use.
