A Geo III bow fronted oval mahogany Pembroke table , the chamfered outside edge crossbanded in kingwood . Drawer at one end, all standing on square tapering legs with spade feet. Measures 76x97cm with the leaves up. Good colour and patina, in country house condition with some historic old repairs, but an elegant table with fine stringing and crossbanding. English Circa 1800.

Named according to legend after the Countess of Pembroke, these tables featured two hinged drop leaves and a central drawer, allowing them to serve multiple functions in Georgian living spaces.
