Coalbrookdale Fern & Blackberry Bench

Description

A 19thc Coalbrookdale cast Iron bench cast in the well known Fern & Blackberry pattern. The Coalbrookdale Fern & Blackberry pattern was registered and patented on April 30, 1858. It was designed by the Coalbrookdale Iron Foundry. The pattern is also found in their 1875 castings catalogue, listed as chair number S 29.

This bench was originally painted green but has wel worn White paint.

The Slats do need attention but the bench is priced fairly for a 19thc original.

With wood slated seat, indistinctly stamped 'CB DALE CO'
