Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Rose water sprinklers were functional and decorative vessels used in the 18th and 19th centuries to distribute perfumed liquids across living quarters. Regency examples often mirrored classical urn shapes, adapted with specialized spouts and handles.

Flight, Barr and Barr produced soft-paste porcelain using china clay, soapstone, and bone ash. Pieces were fired multiple times to set glaze, cobalt grounds, enamelled floral decorations, and burnished gold leaf gilding.

Authentic items from this era frequently feature impressed factory marks such as FBB under a crown or painted red script marks on the base. Look for precise hand-painted enamel detail, heavy gilding, and controlled glaze application characteristic of early 19th-century Worcester production.

Display porcelain vessels on a mantelpiece, console table, or within a glass-fronted cabinet alongside minimalist decor to highlight their detailed artistry. Grouping pieces with similar colour palettes, such as cobalt blue and gold, creates a cohesive decorative statement.

Clean gilded porcelain gently using a dry, soft microfibre cloth or a soft brush to remove dust. Avoid water, liquid detergents, abrasive materials, or chemical cleaners, as moisture and friction can strip delicate gold leaf decoration.
