Exquisite Silver & Guilloche Enamel Small Dressing Table Jar by Henry Matthews, Birmingham 1922

1900 - 1920
Description

This gorgeous silver and lilac guilloche enamel dressing table jar bears the marks of the renowned Henry Matthews and is dated Birmingham 1922. Lilac coloured enamel is always very sought-after and this is a stunning example in wonderful pristine condition. The friction lid snuggly fitted on the original clear glass body. The inner lid with a rich gilt wash.

Hallmarks:

HM for Henry Matthews.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "x" for 1922.

Condition:

Excellent.

Enamel lid in excellent condition.

Glass in perfect condition. No chips or cracks.

Dimensions:

Height: 4cm / 1.4 inches.

Diameter: 4.5cm / 1.6 inches.
