This is a pair of late Georgian/William IV cut glass barrel-bowl rummers dating from the beginning of the 19th century, c1830.
 
The glasses are in excellent condition. They show age related wear and tear consistent with nearly 200 years of use.
 
The glasses measure 8.3 cm (3.3 inches) in diameter across the bowl rims and are 12.5 cm (5 inches) in height. The bowls are barrel-shaped and are cut with a band of diagonal blazes above a band of strawberry diamond cutting above a basal band of panel cutting. The bowls sit on two collars and short capstan stems with medial angular knops. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any evidence of restoration.
 
Lead glass, each glass weighing in at 260 g. (~ 9 oz.). Each glass carries a polished out pontil mark to the underside of the foot.
