One side features an elaborate circular layout radiating from “Miles Distant from London,” pointing toward towns such as York, Liverpool, Bristol, and Exeter with accompanying mileages. The reverse displays distances to seaside resorts and university towns, offering a rare insight into Victorian-era geography and leisure destinations.
Both decorative and educational, it reflects the fascination with travel, measurement, and cartographic artistry of the 19th century.
