~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
The clock features a round bronze case housing the movement, suspended gracefully from an ornate ormolu ribbon swag surmounted by a finely detailed bow crest.

The bronze body is adorned with a laurel wreath motif, symbolising honour and achievement, and is completed by a laurel crest at the base of the ribbon. The porcelain enamel dial on copper is set behind a convex glass, and features fretted and incised gilt brass hands.

At the heart of the piece is a high-quality French movement by Samuel Marti, fully overhauled and in excellent clean and running condition. It comes complete with its original pendulum, runs for eight days, and strikes the hours and half-hours on a bell. A video is available to hear the bell and see the clock in operation, please ask and we will send you a link or paste this in to your browser: https://www.facebook.com/DragonAntiques/videos/1400863421123376

The case is in superb condition, with the original gilding remaining beautifully bright and clean, showing only minimal wear or discolouration. The bronze retains a rich, original patina with slight, age-appropriate wear and a few small surface marks. The dial is excellent, free from damage, and the original convex glass has only a slight mark, an original manufacturing fault. This is a wonderfully decorative and mechanically sound timepiece—both a functional clock and a fine decorative object.
