The design is inspired by Chinese Kangxi porcelain and executed in the finest English taste of the era.
No factory mark, as typical for Chamberlain Worcester of this period. At the time of production, the Worcester factory was under the ownership of the Chamberlain family, whose work defined the artistic and technical achievements of early 19th-century English porcelain. The "Dragon in Compartments" pattern (ornament) is among the most valuable and sought-after in the entire history of English porcelain. Pieces decorated in this pattern are actively pursued by collectors worldwide.
Condition:
Excellent antique condition, minor loss to gilding, one small firing hairline at the handle (gilt over and barely visible, original to manufacture). No chips, cracks or later restoration.
