Early Georgian Small Longcase Clock - Silent Lever

Description

Charming Small Grandfather Oak Longcase Clock. The Case is Good Sound & Solid with Expected Signs of Its Age - Being Almost 300 Years Old.

Height Excluding Finial 77.75in or 197cm

Height Including Finial 82.25in or 209cm

The Brass Dial with Silvered Name Plate for Robert Poll, Strike - Silent Lever, Chapter Ring, Seconds Dial & Date Aperture.

Robert Poll (1) was working Hareston Norfolk Pre 1741 till he Retired in 1771. He was Succeeded by William Brown of Yoxford Suffolk who worked till 1817. It is believed That Robert had Two Sons, Philip and Robert, who also Became Clockmakers at Bungay and Wissett both in Suffolk. Furthermore there was another Robert Right Up To At Least 1839.

The Strike - Silent Lever is Easy To Action & Reinstate.

The 8 Day Movement Has been Checked, Serviced & Tested - Offered in Good & Full Working Order.
