It features a lions mask above the dial and an urn with flaming finial. To the side of the dial are goddess and entwined foliage
The dial is enamel on copper with a cast brass centre and is complete with original blued steel hands. Glass is bevelled and convex.
The French movement is by A. D. Mougin and has their mark on the movement backplate. It is of excellent quality. We have stripped, cleaned and fully overhauled the movement. We then tested the movement for at least 2 weeks to prove its reliability. Pendulum is a replacement. Duration of the movement is 8 days between winding and it sounds the hours and half-hours on a sonorous bell. Below we have a video of the movement running and striking.
Condition of the case is excellent with clean and bright finish and there are no losses. There is some wear to the original gilding in places. The dial is also in excellent condition, no chips or scratches.
Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
