Description

A Victorian drop dial fusee wall clock. A well detailed mahogany case with the original carvings to the base section. Choice flame mahogany to the case. A cast brass bezel surround to the 12" painted dial signed 'Geo. White London' with blued steel hands. A side door and an opening bottom door. An 8-day duration fusee mechanism of good quality. Circa 1855.

George White of London is recorded in Loomes' 'Watchmakers & Clockmakers of The World'' book as working in 1857.
