In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the 1920s.
It has an attractive shape with a curved back and wide arms. It stands on bulbous turned legs joined by a double stretcher. It makes a lovely desk chair but would also be a nice library or hall chair.
It is approximately 32" (81cm) high, the arms are 27" (69cm) wide and the chair is 18" (46cm) deep. The seat is approximately 18" (46cm) high.
It is in good condition for its age with a nice patina and it is structurally very sound. There are signs of age and use and it is not without a few small marks here and there but nothing detrimental or untoward. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
