Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
It has 2 small drawers above 1 large drawer, the fronts carved and inlaid and fitted with brass pear drop handles. The drawers are all oak lined and have brass locks and come with a key which also works for the fall. The fall has a beautifully figured front with applied carvings and inlay and drops down on brass arms to reveal a writing surface and fitted interior with pigeon holes along with 4 small drawers and 1 cupboard. It stands on carved feet united by cross stretchers. A really unusual and good quality statement piece.
