N Wilson Antiques Clocks has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The top of the case has a lovely moulding leading to the square body of the case. There are then a total of four thick, bevelled glass panels to the front, sides, and top so that the movement can be fully viewed. There is then a further moulding to the base with the corners having round brass feet.

The dial is then silvered with a silvered chapter ring set out in black Roman numerals. The clock then has the retailers name “AIRD & THOMSON, GLASGOW”. Finally the dial is finished by two lovely shaped hands.

The movement is then would from the front and accessed from the back. It ticks away and chimes as it should and comes complete with its regulating pendulum and winding key. The clock also chimes one ting tang on the quarter past, two on the half past, three on the quarter to and the number of hours on the hour via two gongs.
It measures approximately:
8.25” / 21cm Tall.
6.25” / 16cm Wide.
5.5” / 14cm Deep.
