Description

Antique silver Audax gents wrist watch.

The watch has a good quality movement, 15 jewels, 3 adjustments, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the name Audax, and it is all protected by an inner hinged cover which has a fairly small “ding”.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the later winding crown and the articulated lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for London (import mark), 1904 together with a sponsor’s mark for the assay agent George Stockwell. The case is in lovely condition.

The later lens is in good condition, just a light 3mm scratch.

The dial looks good to the naked eye. If you look closely, there are four faint hairline cracks radiating from the centre.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
