All Original Solid 9ct Gold Omega 266 with Box, 9ct Buckle and Strap 1955

1940 - 1960
Description

This is a remarkable collectors quality unrestored example of the Legendary manual winding Omega 266 from 1955

The only work we have carried out is to service the movement and give the case a light polish with a soft cloth.

The solid 9ct gold case is 34mm in diameter excluding the original crown, a full size gents.

The case edges are sharp and crisp the watch looks like it was kept hidden away in a drawer and rarely worn.

The movement is the legendary Omega calibre 266, Omegas greatest manual winding movement. It has been freshly serviced and is currently running at plus 5 seconds per day , not bad for a 70 year old watch.

The dial is totally original and perfect it has had no restoration whatsoever.

The hands are matching gold

The hallmarks and movement serial number indicate that this watch was made in 1955.

Its the most original and perfect unrestored and complete example you will ever see.

It comes with its original solid 9ct gold Omega buckle with matching hallmarks from the same year.

Its original tan leather strap with original spring bars is included, we have fitted the closest match we could find to the original tan strap but we can fit almost any colour or style you prefer.

The original box is in perfect condition.

This is one of the best and most complete examples we have ever seen, the kind of thing you normally can only find in the Omega Museum.

A superb collectors piece to be handed down through the generations.

We offer a highly personalised and bespoke service.

Archival Detail
Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
