Mahogany Sewing Table C.1860

Description

19th.c. sewing table or work box c.1860. 18" diameter to top with a thumb moulded. Opens to reveal a fitted interior with original purple silk and patterned paper lining featuring small compartments for threads etc, around a central well with an octagonal lid. Shaped apron and tapering octagonal section body. Raised on a turned column and carved tripod legs with scrolling feet. Some wear to the top and apron, generally good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
