A beautiful original antique French Boudoir table clock. It is of gilt metal and features the most exquisite Servés style porcelain with the sought-after 'Pompadour Rose' ground and delicately decorated with floral swags and a bird.

It is unusual in being of a portico design. The movement is held aloft on four porcelain columns. The pendulum is modelled as a goddess mask and swings below the movement between the four columns.

The case is by the case maker P. H. Mourey and their mark is on the rear of the case. The dial is also porcelain and has its original gilt brass spade hands. Please note that these clocks do not usually have a glazed bezel or a back door.

The French movement is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is very good, there is some wear to the original gilding, we have polished the case which is bright and clean. Porcelain is also excellent, no chips or scratches. There is some slight wear to the over-glaze gilt decoration.

Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
