Majesty & Grace, a Good Pair of Staffordshire Spaniels Circa 1845

Description

'Majesty & Grace', a very rare pair of Staffordshire spaniels, circa 1845, their curly coats with russet patches, with seperate front legs standing on pink lustre bases moulded with green leaves. Grace & Majesty are often assosicated with Queen Victoria due to her love of King Charles spaniels.

These spaniels were produced in two sizes, these are the larger size at 25cm high.

In excellent condition throughout. There is some discolouration to the underside of the base of the left hand dog which may be evidenceof some old restoration, however this is only on the underside of the base. With old Bonham's Lot number label from the 1980's to the underside of one base.
