In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Late 19th-century British watercolours often blend traditional topographical accuracy with Impressionist influences, featuring delicate washes of colour, atmospheric light effects, and architectural or genre scenes painted en plein air.

Artists utilised finely ground natural pigments suspended in gum arabic, applied onto rag paper or heavy cotton paper, frequently presented in double mounts and carved wooden or gilt frames.

Authentic period watercolours display fine brushwork, age-appropriate light fading or natural paper toning, historical artist signatures or monograms, and original framing elements such as leaded glass or hand-cut mounts.

Hang the painting as a focal point above a console table or within a gallery wall alongside contemporary line drawings to create an engaging blend of historical texture and modern design.

Keep watercolour paintings away from direct sunlight and high humidity, using UV-protective glass and acid-free mounting materials to prevent paper foxing and pigment degradation.
