DESCRIPTION
This is a superb quality 19th century ebonised open bookcase by esteemed cabinet makers Story & Triggs, London. Of hardwood construction (very heavy) with a refined ebonised finish, the bookcase features a moulded gallery top and three fixed shelves per section with panelled backboards, the bottom shelf slightly shallower than the top shelves to accommodate fitting the bookcase over skirting. Retaining the original nameplate. This piece combines understated elegance with robust utility and would be equally at home in a period or a modern setting.

98cm high x 128cm wide x 22.5cm deep
CONDITION
There are minor marks, knocks and scratches commensurate with age and use, including some minor wear to the ebonised finish on the leading edges of the top and shelves – just enough to be a pleasant indicator of age. Structurally sound, attractive and ready to place.
