Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco jewellery emerged during the 1920s and 1930s, characterized by bold geometric shapes, sharp symmetry, and clean architectural lines. Influenced by modernism, cubism, and global discoveries, pieces from this era frequently combined vibrant coloured gemstones with diamonds and fine millegrain metalwork.

Art Deco rings were typically crafted using platinum or white gold, often set upon yellow gold shanks such as 15ct or 18ct gold. Dominant gemstones included blue sapphires, rubies, emeralds, and diamonds, set using precise techniques like channel, bezel, and millegrain mountings.

Authentic period pieces often feature UK hallmarks such as 15CT, a purity standard discontinued in 1932. Look for hand-applied millegrain beadwork, period-appropriate gem cuts such as Old European or cushion cuts, and light wear patterns consistent with century-old craftsmanship.

An Art Deco ring functions as a versatile statement piece that complements both contemporary minimalist tailoring and formal evening wear. It can be worn individually on the right hand or stacked with fine gold bands to highlight its geometric profile.

Clean the ring gently using warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristled brush to remove dust from underneath settings. Store the piece separately in a fabric-lined box to prevent harder stones from scratching softer surfaces, and have the prongs inspected periodically by a jeweller.
