The impressive vessel is embellished with a bright cut engraved quatrefoil shaped cartouche, flanked with scrolling leaf decoration and further quatrefoil motifs.
The body of the goblet is further ornamented with bright cut engraved pensile drop designs, in addition to scalloped borders.

The upper rim is encircled with a plain applied moulded border.
The impressive supports forming the cup's pedestal are realistically modelled in the form of rifles, ornamented with embossed details.
The rifle handles terminate to a circular spreading base accented with tiered ball designs, replicating stacked bullets.

The circular base is encompassed with a bright cut engraved decorated border.
The interior of this antique silver cup bears the original gilding.
This exceptional antique silver goblet is fitted to the original painted ebonised wood plinth, encircled with a contemporary vacant silver inscription band; the band may be engraved with a personal inscription if so desired.

The plinth bears the retailer's mark 'Walker & Hall, Manufacturing Silversmiths, Sheffield and Branches'.
