ANTIQUE #SA1152599

Antique Early Metalware 17thc Latten St. John Apostle Single Spoon With Makers Mark. English C1640-45.

£475    $640    €549
A fine example of a 17thc latten St. John Apostle spoon, it has a wide flattened stem which tapers as it nears the top and a typical period fig shaped bowl with a makers mark of three spoons stamped into the top of the bowl....the finial is of St. John, one of the youngest apostles and it is clearly cast, so you can see his long beard and the bible he is carrying...in very good condition with a natural colour.

English. C1640-45.
