1917 Military Marching Compass with Original Leather Case

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a War Office dry floating prismatic marching compass with it's original case with the date 1917 clearly marked on both sides.

The maker's mark Vernier's Pattern V111 is clearly marked on the top of the compass and on the other side is the date mark and F - L No. 92758 with the War Office arrow.

The original leather case is marked FRENCH AND SONS, LONDON, 1917 on the front.
