Antique Oak Oval Brass Bound Barrel Circa 1845

19th century
Description

Antique oak oval coopered brass bound barrel with 6 bands. Has had central bung hole filled. Appears to be an early whiskey barrel from one of the Scottish distilleries. Has had quite a bit of use with a couple of broken brass bands. Fine colour with good waxed patina. Ideal for stick or umbrella stand. FRESH ON MARKET STRAIGHT FROM SCOTTISH MANSION HOUSE.

Size; 25" high, 16" wide. 12" deep.
