A walnut chest of drawers dating to the early 18th century, English c.1700. This antique chest of the George I period features oak-lined drawers with feather-banded fronts and crossbanding to both the drawer edges and top. The burr walnut veneers display rich figuring throughout. Raised on traditional bun feet with brass escutcheons and drop handles. A fine example of early cabinetmaking, combining decorative walnut surfaces with restrained architectural proportions.
