Old Sheffield Plated Coffee Pot by Roberts Smith C1830

19th century
Description

A good Old Sheffield Plated coffee pot marked to the base with the Bell mark of Roberts Smith & Co. Dating to c1830, this is a heavy quality and solid piece. The beautiful rose bud finial is made of silver, but the marks are too rubbed to make out. With an inlaid and blank silver cartouche to the side. Visibly seamed to the exterior under the handle. With cow bone insulators to the handle.

In good condition with slight surface wear as is to be expected due to age and use. There is a patch of copper bleed under the lid to the interior.
