Worcester Porcelain Teapot, Flight Period, C. 1785.

Description

Worcester porcelain teapot, Flight period, c. 1785. The teapot, finely potted with ‘shanked’ moulding, and beautifully hand painted with sprays of flowers, surrounded by smaller sprigs of flowers, and having gilt rims.

The cover similarly decorated, and having a gilded pear shaped finial.

Height – 17 cm, 6 3/4”.

Width (Handle to spout) – 21.5 cm, 8 1/2”.

Depth – 13 cm, 5 1/8”.

Condition – Small chip to tip of spout filled – please see image for detail.
